The Presidential Scholars Program at Villanova University is a premier full scholarship program inspired by St. Augustine's pursuit of truth, leadership through love, and community-driven change. Presidential Scholars are expected to:


  • Participate in the University Honors Program to an extent appropriate to their course of study.
  • Maintain a minimum overall GPA of 3.33.
  • Comport themselves in a manner that assures the continuance and enhancement of the University's high purposes and traditions.

Academic Standing

Presidential Scholars who fail to maintain the required GPA or fail to meet the expectations of the program may be placed on probation. The program has a detailed policy for academic standing, including conditions for probation and the process for regaining good standing.


Presidential Scholars Program Professional Development Award (PSP PDA)

The PSP PDA is designed to support Presidential Scholars in participating in educationally and professionally enriching activities. Scholars can apply for up to $4,000 in funding for experiences such as:
