Program Overview
History seeks to understand and to explain the story of human experience, since the past provides the only laboratory of human experience actually lived. Villanova's Department of History offers an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History that is available to adult students in the College of Professional Studies.
Program Details
The department aims to provide students with a broad range of courses and other educational opportunities to develop their historical awareness, perspective, and understanding. The courses have been developed to provide instruction and guidance that enables students to apply sound historical research skills, and trains them to understand the standard forms of historical expression, to critique historical arguments made by others, and to produce historical arguments themselves.
