The Master's program "Motivation and Self-actualization in Sport" is focused on international cooperation and trains masters of sports with in-depth knowledge in the field of psychological training of athletes. The program is implemented jointly with Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Program Description

The Master's program includes the content of disciplines that include modern knowledge in the field of sports psychology, theory and methodology of the training process, current research areas in the field of physical culture and sports. Students will be able to participate in the development of innovative projects aimed at increasing motivation for sports activities, psychological support of athletes at all stages of a sports career, as well as the development of programs for building the training and competitive process taking into account age, psychological, socio-personal patterns of those who are involved in sport activities.

Curriculum and Practical Experience

In the course of practical classes, students gain skills in the methods of managing the psychological states of athletes, improving relationships in the team, counseling techniques for parents of young athletes, coaches and athletes. The program has a research and creative focus on the development of new methods of psychodiagnostics and psychotechnics, focused on the applied and research activities of students.

Research Opportunities

Students will be able to participate in seminars, research projects, scientific and practical conferences, practice and internship in socio-psychological centers, educational institutions and sports schools.

Degree and Certification

Students have the opportunity to study under the "two diplomas" program at the Ural Federal University and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in the specialty "Sports Psychology". The period of studying at the partner university is one year.
