Introduction to the Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) Program

The Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) program at Northeast Normal University is designed to cultivate high-level management talents in the field of accounting and financial management. Program Overview

• The MPAcc program is a three-year, full-time program that aims to equip students with advanced knowledge and skills in accounting, auditing, and financial management.
• The program is designed for students who have completed a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, as well as those who have a strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, or computer science.
• The curriculum includes a range of courses, such as financial accounting, cost management accounting, financial management, and auditing, as well as a comprehensive examination of the theoretical and practical aspects of accounting.

Admission Requirements

• To be eligible for the MPAcc program, applicants must:
  • Support the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party and be willing to serve the socialist modernization construction.
  • Have a good moral character and abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China.
  • Have a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Meet one of the following conditions:
    • Have a degree in accounting or a related field (accounting, auditing, financial management, accounting computerization, registered accountant).
    • Have a degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, software engineering, intelligent science and technology, or data science and big data technology.
    • Have completed at least five courses in accounting, including intermediate accounting, cost accounting, financial management, management accounting, auditing, government and non-profit organization accounting, financial accounting, and financial analysis.

Examination Content

• The examination for the MPAcc program consists of two parts: the initial examination and the re-examination.
• The initial examination includes the management class joint examination, English II, and the management class comprehensive ability test, which is based on the examination syllabus specified by the Ministry of Education.
• The re-examination includes financial accounting, cost management accounting, financial management, and auditing, as well as a political, English, and comprehensive ability interview.

Program Duration and Tuition Fees

• The program duration is three years, with a maximum study period of five years.
• The tuition fee for the program is 30,000 yuan per year.

Enrollment and Graduation

• The enrollment number for the program is determined by the Graduate School of Northeast Normal University, and the specific enrollment number is subject to the results of the re-examination.
• Students who complete the program within the prescribed period and meet the requirements of the program will be awarded a master's degree in professional accounting.
