The Education Specialist in Executive Educational Leadership is a 5-semester degree program that bridges the divide between theory and practice. This innovative, cohort-based program is designed to be working-professional friendly, allowing students to pursue an advanced degree while continuing their full-time work.

Classes are held using a face-to-face cohort model, with sessions being held one consecutive Friday and Saturday per month during the fall/spring semesters, and eight days in the summer months.

Admission Requirements
To apply, candidates must have:
- A minimum of 3.0 GPA in previous graduate studies
- A completed Master's degree The online application requires:
- A cover letter discussing professional goals and reasons for applying to the Executive Educational Leadership Program
- Two letters of recommendation – one from an immediate supervisor and one from someone who can speak to the candidate's leadership ability and/or potential
Candidate Selection
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. The Executive Educational Leadership faculty conducts interviews and makes decisions for admissions based on a comprehensive review of the candidate's application materials. Priority is given to those applicants who apply before February 1st.

- EDLEAD 676 Foundations of Leading Complex Educational Organizations | 6 credits
- EDLEAD 677 Leading Continuous System-wide Improvement of Learning | 6 credits
- EDLEAD 678 The Superintendency and Executive Level Leadership: Theory and Research | 6 credits
- EDLEAD 679 The Superintendency and Executive Level Leadership: Clinical Experience | 6 credits
- EDLEAD 680 The Superintendency and Executive Level Leadership: Capstone Course | 6 credits Total credits: 30
Estimated Costs
The program is a flat-fee of $450 per credit ($2700 per semester). The College of Education also offers a range of scholarship opportunities.
