Program Overview
Introduction to the Master of Public Administration (MPA) Program
The Master of Public Administration (MPA) program at Nanjing Medical University's School of Medicine and Health Management aims to cultivate high-level, compound, and applied public management talents with a deep understanding of modern public management theories and practices. The program focuses on the development of public management professionals in the health and healthcare sector.

Admission Requirements
To be eligible for the MPA program, applicants must:
- Support the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party, have good moral character, and abide by the law.
- Be in good physical health, as required by the state and the university.
- Meet the admission requirements outlined in the university's 2022 graduate student admission brochure.
- Have a bachelor's degree and at least three years of work experience (for those who graduated before August 31, 2019); or have a junior college diploma or a bachelor's degree and at least five years of work experience (for those who graduated before August 31, 2017), with equivalent academic abilities to those of a bachelor's degree holder; or have a master's or doctoral degree and at least two years of work experience (for those who graduated before August 31, 2020).
Enrollment and Types
The program offers two types of enrollment:
- Full-time professional degree: 5 students
- Part-time professional degree (directed): 35 students
Application and Examination
The application process includes online registration and on-site confirmation. The examination consists of an initial test and a re-examination.
- Initial Test: The initial test includes two subjects: Management Class Joint Examination Comprehensive Ability (200 points) and English II (100 points).
- Re-examination: The re-examination will be held in April 2022, and the specific requirements will be announced on the university's graduate admission website.
Tuition Fees
The tuition fees for the MPA program are:
- Full-time: 8,000 yuan per year
- Part-time: 20,000 yuan per academic year
Degree Awarding
The MPA program adopts a flexible academic system, with a study period of 3-5 years. Students who complete the required courses, achieve the required credits, and pass the thesis defense will be awarded a Master of Public Administration degree and a graduate certificate.
