Applications for the MBBS program are accepted from January 1, 2026, to June 30, 2026.


Evaluation Process

The evaluation process involves a review of application materials and an online interview. The interview is a critical component of the evaluation process, and applicants are notified of the interview time via email.


Criteria and Eligibility

To be eligible for the MBBS program, applicants must meet the following criteria:


  1. Non-Chinese Citizenship: Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and hold a valid foreign passport.
  2. Age Limit: Applicants should not exceed the age of 25 by the time of enrollment.
  3. Educational Background: Applicants must have graduated from high school. Those who provide a pre-graduation certificate or student status certificate at application must provide the final graduation certificate no later than registration.
  4. Transcript Requirements: Applicants must meet one of the following transcript requirements:
  • High school transcript: GPA 3.0 (on a scale of 4.0) or its equivalent, with subjects including physics/mathematics, biology, and chemistry.
  • GCE A-level: all subjects should be C or above.
  • GED total score: 680, all subjects: 170.
  • Indian State Board Examination: the mark secured of all the subjects/the maximum mark of all the subjects 85%, CBSE 70%, NEET score 300 (NEET taken from 2024 to 2026).
  1. English Level:
  • Native or official language is English.
  • Non-native English speakers: IELTS 6 (minimum 5 in each), TOEFL 85 (minimum 15 per section), or Duolingo 115.
  • Proof of English instruction from attended high school.
  1. China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA): All applicants to undergraduate programs must take the CSCA, with Mathematics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.

Application Procedure

The application procedure involves the following steps:


  1. Submission of Application: Applicants submit all materials through the online application system.
  2. Preliminary Review: The Office of Admissions and Recruitment reviews submitted documents.
  3. Interview Notification: Applicants who pass the preliminary review are notified of the interview time by email.
  4. Online Interview: Applicants take an online interview; those who pass the assessment will receive a PRE-ADMISSION LETTER from Nanjing Medical University.
  5. Deposit Payment: Applicants must pay a non-refundable deposit payment of CNY 13,000 within the period specified in the PRE-ADMISSION LETTER.
  6. Official Admission Letter: The Office of Admissions and Recruitment sends the OFFICIAL ADMISSION LETTER and the Visa Application for Study in China (JW202 form) after receiving the deposit.
  7. X Visa Application: Incoming students apply for an X Visa at an embassy or consulate of P.R. China, along with the OFFICIAL ADMISSION LETTER and the JW202 form.

Required Attachments

Applicants must submit the following attachments:


  1. Autographed NMU application form
  2. Passport copy with at least 1-year validity remaining
  3. Digital color photo in white background
  4. Highest diploma/degree (scanned copy of the original document or a notarized copy, in Chinese or English)
  5. Academic transcript (scanned copy of the original transcript or a notarized copy, in Chinese or English)
  6. Certificate of non-criminal record
  7. Foreigner Physical Examination Form (issued by Chinese health and quarantine authorities, completed in English, valid for 6 months)
  8. English language proficiency certificate or supporting documents (such as IELTS, TOEFL, or Duolingo scores, or proof of English-medium instruction at high school)
  9. Personal statement (at least 500 words, including study experience, reasons for application, and personal strengths)
  10. China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) score report (taken within the past 12 months)
  11. Other optional attachments

Fee Structure

The fee structure for the MBBS program is as follows:


  1. Registration Fee: CNY 500
  2. Insurance Fee: CNY 600/Year
  3. Tuition: CNY 34,000/Year
  4. Accommodation Fee:
  • Jiangning campus: double room, CNY 6,000 /person /year
  • Wutai campus:
    • Double room, CNY 8,000 /person /year
    • Three-bedroom, CNY 6,800 /person /year
    • Four-bedroom on Wutai campus, CNY 6,000/person /year
  • Utilities will be charged according to actual usage on a monthly basis.

Registration

Applicants are requested to register at the School of International Education of Nanjing Medical University strictly according to the date notified in the Registration Guide. Those who fail to register on time will be automatically disqualified from admission.
