Application and Evaluation

Applications for the program are accepted from January 1, 2026, to June 30, 2026.


Evaluation Process

The evaluation process involves a review of application materials and an online interview. Note that:


  • Online interviews are conducted regularly before the end of the admission period.
  • Acceptance is based on both the submitted application documents and the interview results, considering the applicant's comprehensive quality.
  • Applicants are notified of the interview time by email, and it is mandatory to participate in the scheduled interview or request an alternative date by emailing the Office of Admissions and Recruitment.

Criteria and Eligibility

To be eligible for the program, applicants must:


  1. Be non-Chinese citizens and hold a valid foreign passport.
  2. Not exceed the age of 25 by the time of enrollment.
  3. Have graduated from high school or provide a pre-graduation certificate or student status certificate at the time of application, with the final graduation certificate to be provided no later than registration.
  4. Meet specific transcript requirements, such as:
  • High school transcript: GPA 3.0 (on a scale of 4.0) or its equivalent, with subjects including physics/mathematics, biology, and chemistry.
  • GCE A-level: all subjects should be C or above.
  • GED total score: 680, all subjects: 170.
  • Indian State Board Examination: the mark secured of all the subjects/the maximum mark of all the subjects 85%, CBSE 70%, NEET score 300 (NEET taken from 2024 to 2026).
  1. Demonstrate English proficiency through:
  • Native or official language being English.
  • Non-native English speakers: IELTS 6 (minimum 5 in each), TOEFL 85 (minimum 15 per section), or Duolingo 115.
  • Proof of English instruction from attended high school.
  1. All applicants must take the "China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA)" with Mathematics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.

Application Procedure

  1. Submit all materials through the online application system.
  2. The Office of Admissions and Recruitment reviews submitted documents.
  3. Applicants who pass the preliminary review are notified of the interview time by email.
  4. Applicants take an online interview; those who pass the assessment receive a PRE-ADMISSION LETTER from Nanjing Medical University.
  5. Applicants must pay a non-refundable deposit payment of CNY 13,000 within the specified period.
  6. The Office of Admissions and Recruitment sends an OFFICIAL ADMISSION LETTER and the Visa Application for Study in China (JW202 form) after receiving the deposit.
  7. Incoming students apply for an X Visa at an embassy or consulate of P.R. China with the OFFICIAL ADMISSION LETTER and the JW202 form.

Required Attachments

Applicants must submit:


  1. An autographed NMU application form.
  2. A passport copy with at least 1-year validity remaining.
  3. A digital color photo in a white background.
  4. The highest diploma/degree (scanned copy of the original document or a notarized copy, in Chinese or English).
  5. Academic transcript (scanned copy of the original transcript or a notarized copy, in Chinese or English).
  6. Certificate of non-criminal record.
  7. Foreigner Physical Examination Form.
  8. English language proficiency certificate or supporting documents.
  9. Personal statement (at least 500 words, including study experience, reasons for application, and personal strengths).
  10. China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) score report.
  11. Other optional attachments.

  • Accommodation Fee:
    • Jiangning campus: double room, 6,000/person/year
    • Wutai campus: Double room, 8,000/person/year; Three-bedroom, 6,800/person/year; Four-bedroom, 6,000/person/year
    • Utilities will be charged according to actual usage on a monthly basis.

Registration

Applicants are requested to register at the School of International Education of Nanjing Medical University strictly according to the date notified in the Registration Guide. Failure to register on time will result in automatic disqualification from admission.
