Program Overview

Introduction to the CSU IP Study Abroad Program

The CSU IP program offers eligible students the opportunity to study at one of 18 countries for one academic year. The participating countries include:

• Australia
• Canada
• Chile
• China
• Denmark
• France
• Germany
• Ghana
• Italy
• Korea
• Mexico
• New Zealand
• South Africa
• Spain
• Sweden
• Taiwan
• The UK

Eligibility Criteria

Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.75 to apply for most countries. However, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK require a GPA of 3.0. Typically, students are in their Junior Year when they study abroad, but some programs are also open to Sophomore students.

Language Requirements

For some countries, there is a minimum language requirement.

Program Duration

The CSU IP program is for one academic year. Students cannot apply for only one semester. For all countries other than Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa, students go abroad in the Fall. For Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa, students depart in early February.
