Chicana and Chicano Studies
The Chicana and Chicano Studies program offers a comprehensive exploration of the experiences of Mexican American women in the U.S.
Course: CHS 246. Contemporary Issues of the Chicana
This course uses a sociological framework to understand the contemporary experiences of Mexican American women in the U.S., focusing on the sexual division of labor in families, the workplace, and community. Each section explores the variation and heterogeneity in women's class, ethnic/racial, and gender identity. The course meets the Ethnic Studies requirement and is available for General Education, CSUN Section F Comparative Cultural Studies, and Ethnic Studies.
