Jewish Studies Program

The Jewish Studies program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of Jewish history, culture, and religion. The program is offered as a 4-year degree road map, leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Program Requirements

The program requires a total of 120 units, distributed over four years. The requirements are as follows:

• Year 1: 1st Semester
  • JS 100 (meets GE Upper Division Area 3B Humanities) | 3 units
  • GE Basic Skills: Area 1A English Composition (Written Communication) | 3 units
  • GE Basic Skills: Area 2 Lower Division Mathematical Concepts and Quantitative Reasoning | 3 units
  • Electives | 6 units
  • Total | 15 units
• Year 1: 2nd Semester
  • GE Basic Skills: Area 1C Oral Communication | 3 units
  • GE Basic Skills: Area 1B Critical Thinking (JS 220 recommended) | 3 units
