Communication Disorders and Sciences
The Communication Disorders and Sciences program offers a course titled CD 717, Management of Speech and Language Disorders for Audiologists.
Course Description
This course introduces various aspects of audiology as they relate especially to infants and children developing speech, language, and literacy when those populations are deaf, hard of hearing, have auditory processing disorders, or have acquired hearing loss. Topics include a review of typical speech, language, and literacy development, and the impacts of reduced, absent, or altered auditory stimulation on the development of speech, language, and literacy.
