Cátedra UPV ESDOC en Gestión Clínica
The Universitat Politčcnica de Valčncia and ESDOC, a business school for health professionals, have renewed the Cátedra UPV-ESDOC in Clinical Management to continue developing applied research activities in the field of clinical management and leadership in Health Sciences.
Objective
The objective of this chair is to improve healthcare management through research and collaboration between the university and the healthcare industry. ESDOC provides training services for medical and dental professionals, as well as consulting and advisory services for companies and individuals.
Benefits
The renewal of this agreement has been carried out by the director of ESDOC, Primitivo Roig, and the rector of the Universitat Politčcnica de Valčncia, José Capilla, who has highlighted the importance of establishing strong links with the health sector, whose technological development has been undeniable in recent years.

The Cátedra UPV-ESDOC in Clinical Management focuses on research areas such as:
- Clinical management and leadership in Health Sciences
- Improvement of healthcare management
- Humanization and excellence in medical practice
Collaboration
This chair has the support of the Centro de Gestión de la Calidad y el Cambio de la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industrial. The UPV maintains an important connection with the industrial and technological sector, but this chair highlights that industrial management and Health Sciences can also go hand in hand.
Current Status
The UPV currently has over 110 active chairs that consolidate links between the university and companies, promoting synergies from an academic, business, and research perspective.
Other Initiatives
Other initiatives and studies are being developed by the Cátedra UPV-ESDOC, such as the development of innovative methodologies to reduce apparent losses in water distribution networks, and the creation of new chairs in areas such as biotechnology, cybersecurity, and sustainability.
