Program Overview

Introduction to the Double Master's Program

The Double Master's Program in Civil Engineering, Canals, and Ports + Structural and Geotechnical Engineering is a unique academic offering that combines two distinct master's programs. This program is designed for students who wish to acquire professional competencies in Civil Engineering, Canals, and Ports, as well as specialization in Structural and Geotechnical Engineering.

Program Description

The Master's Program in Civil Engineering, Canals, and Ports (MUICCP) shares some areas of study with the Master's Program in Structural and Geotechnical Engineering (MUIEG). However, the former enables students to practice the regulated profession of Civil Engineering, Canals, and Ports, while the latter is a specialization program focused on Structural and Geotechnical Engineering from both a professional and scientific perspective.

Program Structure

The proposed program allows students to complete both master's programs with a total of 150 ECTS, representing a savings of 60 ECTS compared to completing each program separately (120 ECTS for MUICCP and 90 ECTS for MUIEG). The program is structured in the sense that the non-enabling master's (MUIEG) provides an extension of specialization in Structural and Geotechnical Engineering, building upon the knowledge acquired in the enabling master's (MUICCP).
