Program Overview
Introduction to the Degree in Fine Arts
The Degree in Fine Arts aims to form professionals in the visual arts and plastic artists. The program teaches techniques and processes in different areas of creation, developing critical thinking and applying conceptual discourses and innovative approaches related to the environment and social relationships. This provides students with a broad knowledge of artistic manifestations, both classical and contemporary.
Professional Outcomes
Graduates can develop artistic creation in any expression: painting, sculpture, drawing, engraving, animation, illustration, scenography, photography, or design. They can also work in the audiovisual and new technologies fields, as well as in aspects related to cultural expertise, artistic consulting, exhibition curating, or criticism.
International Mobility and Internships
Students can spend from three to ten months at one of the 120 universities in 35 different countries with which the Faculty has exchange agreements. Each year, around 120 students participate in this program. Internships in companies representing all fields and areas of interest of the degree are also available. These internships are voluntary, have an economic grant, and provide a first contact with the business world, valid for the professional curriculum. Additionally, there are various internship programs in companies abroad.
Continuation of Studies
The Degree in Fine Arts allows access to the following university master's degrees taught by the UPV: Artistic Production and Visual and Multimedia Arts. It is also possible to access any university master's degree at the UPV by taking the appropriate leveling courses.
