Program Overview


Introduction to the Degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage

The Degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage aims to train professionals who preserve and transmit artistic and cultural heritage. To achieve this, a multidisciplinary education is offered, integrating the scientific, artistic, and technological fields to develop the necessary competencies for the profession.


Presentation of the Degree

The degree focuses on forming professionals capable of preserving and transmitting cultural heritage. It offers a comprehensive education that combines scientific knowledge with artistic and technological skills, enabling students to develop the competencies required for the profession. These competencies include the knowledge and documentation of cultural assets, the evaluation of their conservation state, and the proposal and development of conservation and restoration treatments.


Professional Outcomes

Graduates can integrate into the conservation, restoration, management, and dissemination of cultural heritage in museums, public institutions, or private companies. They can also work as freelance professionals or opt for teaching positions in middle school as art, technical, or plastic arts instructors.


International Mobility and Internships

Through academic exchange programs, students can spend one or two semesters in universities with international prestige during the last two years of their degree. From the third year onwards, students can participate in internships in companies, art galleries, foundations, institutions, and museums, which can be recognized for credits and include an economic grant.


Continuation of Studies

The degree allows access to the University Master's in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage. Additionally, students can access any University Master's degree at the UPV by taking the appropriate leveling courses.
