Introduction to the Degree in Architectural Interior Design
The Degree in Architectural Interior Design is an interdisciplinary field that utilizes creativity, communication in representation, and technology from an artistic orientation associated with discipline, for professional application in companies and productive industries of building, culture, and leisure.
Program Objectives
The objective of this degree is to provide multidisciplinary training for professionals with knowledge, skills, and creative and technological abilities to design, manage, and develop professional interior design projects related to professional commissions, and to mediate them.
Professional Outcomes
The interior designer is a professional capable of analyzing, investigating, and projecting; directing teams and executing interior design works; and also acting as a direct interlocutor before public administrations in the scope of their profession. This professional is a mediator between technology, art, culture, production, and consumption, resulting in an indispensable figure in today's society.
International Mobility and Practices
Students will have the opportunity to undertake professional practices in one of the entities (companies, professional studios, technological institutes, organizations, and institutions from both the public and private sectors) with which the School of Architecture and the UPV have signed collaboration agreements. These practices are managed through the Unit of Practices in Companies of the School and are always carried out under the supervision of an academic tutor, to ensure the best possible working conditions and maximum formative utility.
Continuation of Studies
The Degree in Architectural Interior Design allows access to the following university master's degrees taught by the UPV: Advanced Architecture, Landscape, Urbanism, and Design (specialization in Interior Design); Conservation of Architectural Heritage; and Landscape Architecture. It is also possible to access any university master's degree from the UPV by taking the appropriate leveling courses.
