Introduction to the Degree in Civil Engineering
The Degree in Civil Engineering provides sustainable solutions for integrating infrastructure with territory, environment, and society. This includes planning cities and their services, designing railway and road networks, protecting coastlines, ensuring safety against floods and earthquakes, and designing, constructing, and maintaining bridges, tunnels, dams, and ports.
Program Overview
The program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET and certified by the EUR-ACE label of the European Network for the Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE). It consists of 4 courses and 240 credits, with a tuition fee of 17.34 per credit for the 2025/2026 academic year.
Professional Outcomes
The Degree in Civil Engineering enables students to practice as technical engineers in public works, specializing in civil constructions. Graduates can work in engineering, construction, maintenance, and service companies, or exercise their profession freely by conducting studies and projects, directing and inspecting works, and more.
International Mobility and Practices
Students can complete their training at one of the over 70 foreign universities with which the program has mobility agreements, in countries such as France, Germany, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Italy, Finland, Austria, and the United States. They also have the option to undertake paid internships in top engineering, service, and construction companies, as well as public organizations.
Continuation of Studies
The Degree in Civil Engineering is the reference degree for pursuing the Master's Degree in Civil Engineering at the UPV. Additionally, graduates can access other master's degrees at the UPV, including Planning and Management in Civil Engineering, Transport, Territory, and Urbanism, Intelligent Transport Systems, Environmental Engineering, Concrete Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering and Environment, and Occupational Risk Prevention and Building.
