Program Overview


Introduction to the Erasmus Mundus Master Program emPLANT+

The Erasmus Mundus Master program emPLANT+ is a prestigious educational opportunity offered by a consortium of renowned European universities. This program focuses on plant improvement from both scientific and entrepreneurial perspectives.


Program Structure and Content

The emPLANT+ program consists of 120 ECTS, covering various specialties in genetic plant improvement. The program is accredited by the quality and experience of the participating universities and the Erasmus Mundus label.


Specializations and Course Structure

Students will study at least two universities within the consortium. The first year can be spent at ULS, SLU, or MATE, while the second year can be spent at UMIL, BOKU, UPV, or ULS. The Universitat Politecnica de Valencia (UPV) offers specialization in ornamental, fruit, and horticultural plants, taught in Spanish.


Scholarships and Funding

The European Union offers Erasmus Mundus scholarships to cover all tuition fees, as well as travel and living expenses. These scholarships can be applied for directly with the master's program application.


Application and Admission

The application period for the master's program and scholarship is open and will close in mid-January 2023.
