Introduction to the Pre-Health Program

The Pre-Health Program, offered by the College of Science and Health, provides pre-professional students with specialized advising, workshops, and events related to health professions, as well as opportunities to network with like-minded students. This program is designed to support students interested in pursuing a graduate health professions program.

Program Details

• The Pre-Health Program is not considered a major, minor, or concentration at DePaul.
• Any DePaul student, regardless of their major, can register for the Pre-Health Program to access its benefits.
• The program offers specialized advising through professional pre-health advisors.

Benefits of Registering for the Pre-Health Program

• Students are placed on an email list to receive communications about upcoming workshops, events, shadowing, research, and volunteering opportunities, as well as state and national conferences.
• Registration is required to be considered eligible for Pre-Health Advising Committee (PAC) services.

Shadowing Program

• A shadowing program is available, offering limited and selective opportunities for students to gain practical experience.

Acceptance Rates and Alumni Success

Eligibility for the Pre-Health Program

• Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Health Program students and non-degree seeking students are eligible to register for the Pre-Health Program, provided they are currently enrolled in courses at DePaul.
