Introduction to the Global Ecological Governance and International Communication Micro Major

The Global Ecological Governance and International Communication micro major is a one-year program offered by the Foreign Language College of Beijing Forestry University. The program aims to cultivate compound talents who are proficient in international environmental rules, skilled in international ecological civilization communication, and capable of participating in the formulation and dissemination of international ecological agendas.

Cultivation Goals

The program is based on the national "dual carbon" strategy and the forefront of international ecological governance. It aims to cultivate compound talents with professional literacy in ecological governance, application ability of international rules, and cross-cultural communication skills. Through systematic training, students will master the global ecological governance system under the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), be proficient in the core provisions and fulfillment mechanisms of international environmental conventions such as the Paris Agreement and the Convention on Biological Diversity, and deeply understand the practical logic of the ESG standard system in the compliance of transnational corporations.

Course Arrangements

The program will be taught independently, with classes held on weekends. A minimum of 35 students is required to open a class.

Graduation Requirements

Students who complete all the courses specified in the micro major's teaching plan and achieve qualified grades within the valid study period can be awarded a micro major certificate. The micro major graduation certificate does not grant academic degrees.

Tuition Fees

The tuition fee for the program is 2400 yuan per academic year, which does not include textbook fees and practice fees.

Enrollment Procedure

1. Enrollment Method: Log in to the education administration system, select "Cultivation Management" - "Minor/Micro Major Enrollment" module, and choose the "25-26-1" semester for enrollment.
2. Enrollment Time:

• First round: July 24th - August 10th
• Second round: August 14th - August 20th

Trial and Refund

The first week of the course (September 13th, 2025) is a trial period. Students who drop out during this period can refund their tuition fees without penalty. After the trial period, students who drop out will be charged for the courses they have taken.
