Program Overview


College of Business Administration

The College of Business Administration offers a comprehensive program in marketing, designed to equip students with a deep understanding of the analytical science and creative art of marketing practice.


Department of Marketing

The Department of Marketing provides students with a broad array of skills and interests, enabling them to develop a comprehensive understanding of how products, services, and ideas are developed, distributed, priced, and promoted by various business, nonprofit, and government organizations. Students also consider social, ethical, and legal issues in the field of marketing.


BSBA Areas of Specialization

The BSBA program in Marketing offers students a range of career opportunities, including sales, retailing, advertising and promotions, public relations, product management, marketing research, services marketing, and social and government services.


BSBA General Degree Requirements

To complete the Marketing specialization, students must fulfill University, general degree, admission core, and business core requirements for the BSBA degree, including admission to the BSBA program. Students pursuing both a Marketing Specialization and a Sales and Services Marketing Specialization must complete at least 15 credit hours toward one specialization that are not counted in the other specialization.


Marketing Specialization

The Marketing specialization requires 21 hours of coursework, including:


  • A grade of "C" or better in MKT 2010 to enroll in advanced marketing courses
  • A grade of "C" or better in each course taken as part of the specialization
