Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA)
Program Overview
General BSBA Degree Requirements
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree has specific requirements that students must complete.
Schmidthorst College of Business
The Schmidthorst College of Business offers the BSBA degree, which requires students to complete a minimum of 122 credit hours.
Mathematics Requirements
Each student is required to complete five to six credit hours in calculus with a grade of "C" or better as part of the BSBA degree requirements. The student may select from the following options:
- MATH 1260 or BA 1600
- MATH 1310
- Both MATH 1340 and MATH 1350
Additionally, the following math courses may be required, depending on the student's math placement:
- MATH 95
- MATH 98
- MATH 1200
- MATH 1210
- MATH 1220
- MATH 1280
- MATH 1300 Note that credit for MATH 90, 95, and 1210 does not count toward the BSBA degree, and only three hours of MATH 1200 count toward the degree.
Electives
Business or non-business courses may be used as electives to complete the minimum degree requirements of 122 credit hours. The number of credit hours needed is determined by the number of hours taken as University, college, or specialization requirements. These electives should be selected in consultation with the student's advisor. Generally, a student may take courses in any department of the University to meet this requirement. For a list of courses that do not count toward the BSBA degree, see the appropriate check sheet of degree requirements or contact Undergraduate Student Development.
