Nursing Program
The Nursing program offers students the opportunity to become actively involved in healthcare as professional nurses with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. The curriculum emphasizes a liberal education combined with nursing theory and clinical practice needed to develop educated nurses.
Program Description
A graduate of the nursing program is capable of providing health services for individuals, families, and communities and is eligible to take the licensing examination to become a registered nurse. The program provides preparation for future graduate study and leadership in nursing.
Tuition and Fees
Tuition for the nursing program is the same as for all other degree programs. However, additional charges are required for:
- Uniforms
- Professional liability insurance
- Specific health tests and immunizations
- Exit exams
- Convocation
- Lab and upper division professional course fees
Program Tracks
The Nursing program offers several tracks to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree:
- BSN for students entering the nursing profession through the BGSU/University of Toledo Nursing Consortium
- Online eCampus RN/BSN for students who are associate degree or diploma graduates and have a current unencumbered license as a registered nurse
- Dual degree option for a Bachelor of Applied Health Science and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing through the BGSU/Mercy College
Additional Information
Additional admission requirement information for each option is available from the College Office. Transportation to classes and to clinical placements is the responsibility of the student. For the RN/BSN track, classes are online, with advisors at BGSU Main Campus and BGSU Firelands.
