Program Overview


Preparation for Mortuary Science

The Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science offers the bachelor in mortuary science degree. Students planning to transfer into this program after two years at Bowling Green must pass a 60-hour minimum requirement to enter.


Recommended Coursework

The following are recommended but the student is responsible for checking final admission requirements:


  • Anatomy and physiology with labs (two semesters)
  • Business (8 credit hours)
  • College algebra (one semester)
  • English composition (one semester)
  • General or organic chemistry or biochemistry (one semester)
  • Humanities and arts (9 credit hours)
  • Introductory psychology (one semester)
  • Introductory sociology (one semester)
  • Public speaking (one semester)
    • Upper level psychology (3 credit hours)
    • Upper level sociology (3 credit hours)

Additional Requirements

Students should be aware that a series of vaccinations will be required prior to entrance to a mortuary science program. Therefore, students will need to plan for admission several months in advance.
