Program Overview

The Biomedical Engineering program at Cal Poly is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in the principles of biomedical engineering, including biomechanics, bioelectricity, and biomaterials. The program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET and is designed to prepare students for careers in the biomedical industry or for graduate study.


Program Requirements

The program requires 128 units of coursework, including:


  • 48 units of lower-division coursework
