Scholarships for the Master of Science in Public Policy and Human Development

The United Nations University is pleased to offer 20 full scholarships for the Master of Science in Public Policy and Human Development (MPP) programme for the 2026/27 academic year.

China Scholarship Council (CSC) Scholarship Programme

The China Scholarship Council (CSC) Scholarship Programme provides full tuition coverage for 20 incoming students who are citizens of China. The scholarship covers:

• The tuition fee for one academic year
• Monthly cost-of-living financial assistance
• Health insurance for up to one academic year
• A return international airfare between China and the Netherlands for the completion of the MPP

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for consideration, candidates must be:

• A citizen of the People's Republic of China
• Under 28 years of age at the time of application
• Hold a Bachelor's degree and have experience working in an international organization as an intern or other type of work for at least six (6) months
• Be enrolled in the final year of a Master's degree programme
• Hold a Master's degree
• Have received an offer of admission to the MPP
• Have paid the application handling fee upon applying to the MPP

Application Procedure Timeline

The timeline for the application procedure is as follows:

• 22 March 2026: Deadline to complete the application to the MPP programme (including the payment of the handling fee)
• 30 March 2026: Applicants are informed of acceptance to the MPP
• 10 April 2026: Deadline for MPP-accepted applicants to apply to CSC
• From 1 June 2026: CSC informs scholarship applicants of their acceptance
