This programme is an interdisciplinary programme that bridges Engineering, Management, Innovation and Industrial Design. Students will need to choose an area of interest at the start of the programme. It allows students the flexibility to tailor their learning and adapt to their own needs, building on a proven design thread at SUTD to prepare them for a career in innovation, in a specific field of study and a project of their choice.

Message from the Academic Programme Director

The Master of Science in Technology and Design in Engineering Design Innovation equips students with the tools to navigate uncertainty and address emerging design challenges. Built on the expertise of SUTD's Design faculty, the programme offers the flexibility to pursue interests in research, education, and/or entrepreneurship within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment. A wide range of electives allows students to tailor their learning to their individual needs.

Programme Structure

Students are welcome from diverse backgrounds and career stages, and are encouraged to shape their own learning journey. The programme is led by Associate Professor Arlindo Silva, from the Engineering Product Development (EPD) department.
