Program Overview

Högskoleingenjörsexamen, Bilsystemteknik

The Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Vehicle Systems is a unique education for those who want to test and evaluate future vehicles. As a finished vehicle system engineer, you can work with vehicle manufacturers, testing companies, subcontractors, and component manufacturers.

Program Overview

The program is 180 higher education credits, at the basic level, and is given in the fall of 2024. The vehicle industry is undergoing a transformation and is in great need of engineers with the right skills. As an engineer in vehicle systems, you have the opportunity to contribute to better conditions for the future vehicle industry. The education in vehicle systems provides you with the knowledge required to analyze, evaluate, and develop future vehicle systems.

Education Content

During the first half of the education, courses in vehicle systems are mixed with basic courses in mathematics and technology, which provides a good preparation for a varied future engineering work. The education combines theory with project courses where you learn to perform advanced vehicle testing as well as analysis and evaluation of the vehicle's electronic and mechanical systems. You will gain knowledge in, among other things, measurement technology, vehicle dynamics, and control and materials technology.

Career Opportunities

Research, society, and industry need you. One of the many challenges for the industry is the transition to more environmentally friendly vehicles. Vehicle system engineers can, for example, work with vehicle manufacturers, subcontractors, and component manufacturers. The education also provides you with the prerequisites to work for one of the international companies that are expanding their vehicle testing operations in northern Sweden.
