Introduction to Risk Management for Information Security

Risk management for information security is a critical aspect of organizational continuity and information security in today's rapidly changing digital world. This course is designed to develop critical thinking and teach students to identify, analyze, prioritize, and prepare for significant risks that potentially threaten business continuity.

Course Description

The course introduces key concepts in risk management for information security, enabling students to practice individually and in groups using a well-known pedagogical method. This approach helps internalize the thinking and collaboration needed for risk analysis and risk management, while also preparing students to consider the cost-effectiveness of information security work and appropriate risk-reducing measures within an organization.

• The course can be applied for as an elective by program students at LTU.
• Single standalone places are available. The course is part of a program.
• For distance education, no compulsory meetings on campus are required. Access to a personal computer and the possibility or eligibility to have programs installed are required. Internet connection (at least 0.5 Mbps) and access to a headset with a microphone and webcam are also necessary.
