The Art Management program is an interdisciplinary field of study that combines humanities, philosophy, psychology, aesthetics, art, sociology, cultural anthropology, theology, linguistics, business management, and public management. This program is based on the foundational knowledge of the humanities and focuses on in-depth research in specialized fields.
Program Overview
The program offers courses in both English and Chinese, with a curriculum that includes master's and doctoral programs. The master's program requires 25 credits, including mandatory courses such as research paper writing, research ethics, and Korean language courses. The doctoral program requires 37 credits, with mandatory courses including research paper writing, research ethics, and Korean language courses.
Graduation Requirements
To graduate from the master's program, students must:
- Complete 25 credits, including mandatory courses
- Pass the research paper qualification exam (professional exam and foreign language exam)
- Complete a master's thesis or publish a paper in an academic journal
- Meet the language requirements, including TOPIK level 2 or above, or completion of Korean language courses at Kangwon University
To graduate from the doctoral program, students must:
- Complete 37 credits, including mandatory courses
- Pass the research paper qualification exam (professional exam and foreign language exam)
- Complete a doctoral dissertation
- Meet the language requirements, including TOPIK level 3 or above, or completion of Korean language courses at Kangwon University
Tuition Fees and Scholarships
The tuition fees for the Art Management program are as follows:
- Master's program: registration fee (178,000), course fee 1 (398,000), course fee 2 (2,216,000), total (2,792,000)
- Doctoral program: registration fee (178,000), course fee 1 (434,000), course fee 2 (3,514,000), total (4,126,000)
Scholarships are available for students, including:
- New student scholarships, which offer a reduction in tuition fees based on language proficiency (TOPIK, IELTS, or TOEFL)
- In-school student scholarships, which offer a reduction in tuition fees based on academic performance (GPA)
Research Areas

Language Requirements
The program offers courses in both English and Chinese, and students must meet the language requirements for graduation.
