Introduction to the Palmer School of Library and Information Science

The Palmer School of Library and Information Science at LIU Post offers a Master of Science in Library and Information Science (MSLIS) degree program with a School Library Media specialization completely online. This program is designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the demanding profession of librarianship.


Program Details

The MSLIS degree program requires 36-credit hours to graduate. In addition to the MSLIS program, LIU Post also provides a fully online 18-credit hour Certificate of Advanced Study in Archives and Records Management.
