Program Overview

Introduction to the University Program

The university has successfully been selected as one of the third batch of emergency education pilot universities by the Ministry of Education in 2025. To commemorate this occasion, the university hospital invited the Shaanxi Red Cross Society to conduct two specialized training sessions on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR+AED) for graduate students.

Program Details

  • A total of 578 students participated in the training and received certification from the Shaanxi Red Cross Society after passing the assessment.
  • The training focused on common emergencies on campus, such as sudden cardiac death and cardiac arrest, and provided in-depth explanations of the "golden rescue 4-minute" emergency procedure.
  • The teaching team used videos, animations, live demonstrations, and group exercises to carefully explain the five major steps of CPR and the entire process of using an automated external defibrillator (AED).
  • The team also conducted one-on-one corrections on site to ensure that students mastered key techniques such as compression force, frequency, and breathing coordination.

Additional Training and Education

  • In the previous semester, the hospital also invited experts from the Xi'an Red Cross Society to provide emergency training for 214 students.
  • As of now, nearly 800 students have obtained emergency rescue certificates.
  • The hospital continues to deepen emergency education and has opened a course on "Emergency Rescue for College Students."
  • The course adopts a "school-local cooperation, curriculum-based" approach to build a professional emergency education system, contributing to the construction of a safe campus.

Conclusion

The university hospital's efforts in providing emergency education and training have contributed significantly to the creation of a safe and secure campus environment. The program's focus on practical skills and certification has empowered students with the knowledge and confidence to respond to emergencies effectively.
