The program is designed to develop students' skills in:
- Mechanical product structure design
- Product styling design
- Machine and electronic product human-machine interface and engineering design
- Product visual transmission design
- Computer-aided product design
The program consists of seven specialized course groups, five teaching platforms, two open practice bases, and four teaching practice laboratories.

- Systematic Approach: The program adopts a systematic approach to deconstruct industrial design innovative abilities into multiple sub-abilities and constructs corresponding course groups and experimental practice groups.
