Introduction to the Accounting Program (ACCA Direction) at Yunnan University

The Accounting Program (ACCA Direction) is a collaborative effort between Yunnan University and Kaibo Financial Education Group. This program aims to cultivate international accounting professionals.

Program Overview

• The program is one of approximately 110 universities in mainland China authorized by ACCA to offer the Accounting Program (ACCA Direction).
• It is a four-year undergraduate program taught by the School of Economics (Accounting School) of Yunnan University in cooperation with Kaibo Financial Education Group.
• 13 ACCA examination courses are taught by foreign teachers and teachers with ACCA teaching qualifications and experience.
• All 13 ACCA examination courses use original English textbooks, with 6 basic courses taught entirely in English and 7 professional courses taught in both English and Chinese.
• The teaching schedule for the 13 ACCA examination courses is synchronized with the global ACCA unified examination.

Student Selection Method

• The program plans to recruit 45 students in 2018, in addition to those enrolled according to the Yunnan University 2018 undergraduate enrollment plan.
• New students who have been admitted to Yunnan University in 2018 (excluding those from the Software College, International College, Vocational and Continuing Education College, and Art and Sports majors) can participate in the selection.
• Students who wish to participate in the selection must have a high school English score of 110 or above.
• Selected students and their parents must sign the "Accounting Program (ACCA Direction) Student Admission Agreement" with the school.

Academic Management

• After paying the first-year ACCA examination course training fee, students will be transferred from their original major to the Accounting Program (ACCA Direction) of the School of Economics (Accounting School).
• If a student needs to exit the program due to family financial difficulties or other reasons specified in the agreement, they can apply to the school for approval before the second semester of their sophomore year.

Tuition Fees

• The tuition fee for the Accounting Program (ACCA Direction) is collected according to the national standard for Yunnan University's undergraduate tuition fees.

ACCA Examination Course Training Fees and Other Expenses

• The total ACCA examination course training fee is 48,000 yuan per student, collected in four annual installments of 12,000 yuan each.
• Students are responsible for ACCA examination course textbooks, registration fees, and examination fees.

Graduation and Degree Awarding

• Students who complete the required credits for the Accounting Program (ACCA Direction) will be awarded a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Yunnan University and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University.
• Students who pass the 13 ACCA examination courses and have relevant practical experience can obtain the ACCA practitioner qualification certificate.

Application and Examination

• Students who wish to apply for the Accounting Program (ACCA Direction) must download the pre-application form from the Yunnan University School of Economics (Accounting School) website, fill it out, and email it before August 18th.
