Program Overview
Introduction to the Accounting Program (ACCA Direction)
The Accounting Program (ACCA Direction) is a collaborative effort between Yunnan University and Kaibo Financial Education Group. This program aims to cultivate internationalized accounting professionals. It is one of approximately 110 universities in mainland China authorized by ACCA to offer the Accounting Program (ACCA Direction), and it is the only 211 university in Yunnan Province to be recognized by ACCA for offering an ACCA-integrated program.
Program Overview
- The program has a four-year duration.
- Teaching is conducted by Yunnan University's School of Economics (Accounting School) in cooperation with Kaibo Financial Education Group.
- 14 ACCA examination courses are taught primarily by foreign teachers with ACCA teaching qualifications and experience.
- All 14 ACCA examination courses use original English textbooks.
- Six courses (foundation stage) are taught entirely in English, while eight courses (professional stage) are taught in both English and Chinese.
- The teaching schedule for the 14 ACCA examination courses is synchronized with the global ACCA unified examination.
- Students enrolled in this program can enjoy the policy of exempting five courses (F1-F5) after being recognized by the ACCA UK headquarters.

Student Selection Method
Selection Plan
- The program plans to recruit 45 students in 2017.
- Recruitment is open to all 2017 freshmen, excluding those from the Software College, International College, College of Vocational and Continuing Education, and art and sports majors.
- Students are selected based on voluntary application and a unified English interview.
- Participating students must have a high school English score of 110 or above.
- Students who pass the selection interview and their parents must sign the "Accounting Program (ACCA Direction) Student Admission Agreement" to be admitted.
Academic Management
- After paying the first year's ACCA examination course training fee, students will be transferred from their original major to the School of Economics (Accounting School) of Yunnan University to study the Accounting Program (ACCA Direction).
- If a student's family economic situation changes or for other reasons listed in the agreement, they can apply to exit the program before the second semester of their sophomore year, with approval from the school. After this period, students are not allowed to apply for withdrawal.
Tuition Fees
Program Fees
- The tuition fee for the Accounting Program (ACCA Direction) follows the national standard for undergraduate students at Yunnan University.
- The ACCA examination course training fee is 48,000 yuan per student, paid in four annual installments of 12,000 yuan each.
- Students are responsible for ACCA examination course textbooks, registration fees, and examination fees.
Graduation and Degree Awarding
Graduation Requirements
- Students who complete the required credits as specified in the "Yunnan University Accounting Program (ACCA Direction) Undergraduate Talent Cultivation Program" will be awarded a Bachelor of Accounting degree from Yunnan University (without specifying the professional direction).
- Students who pass the 14 ACCA courses and have certain practical experience can obtain the ACCA practitioner qualification certificate.
- Students who pass the first nine ACCA courses (F1-F9) can submit papers and related materials as required by Oxford Brookes University in the UK and have the opportunity to obtain a Bachelor of Applied Accounting degree from Oxford Brookes University.
Application and Examination
Pre-application
Students interested in the Accounting Program (ACCA Direction) should download the "Yunnan University Accounting Program (ACCA Direction) Selection Pre-application Form" from the Yunnan University School of Economics (Accounting School) website, fill it out as required, and send it to the specified email address by August 18th. However, they must also formally apply on-site.
Formal Application
- Time and Location: The formal application will take place from August 24th to August 26th, at specified times, at the Yunnan University School of Economics (Accounting School) building.
- Required Documents: Applicants must provide their Yunnan University 2017 admission notice, high school graduation certificate, and a copy of their high school transcript.
Selection Examination
- English Interview Content: The interview will assess English listening and speaking abilities, as well as the student's comprehensive quality.
- Examination Time and Location: The examination will be held during the 2017 freshmen military training period. Specific times and locations will be announced on-site or can be found on the Yunnan University School of Economics (Accounting School) website.
