Introduction to the B.S./M.D. Program
The B.S./M.D. Program is a unique opportunity for students to complete the requirements for both the B.S. and M.D. degrees in six years, rather than the traditional eight years. This program is offered by the Howard University College of Medicine and is available to a limited number of students enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
Program Requirements
To be eligible for the B.S./M.D. Program, students must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum science GPA of 3.25
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.5
- Minimum total MCAT score of 504
- Strong interview and supportive letters of recommendation
Admission Criteria
Admission to the B.S./M.D. Program is by invitation only, with invitations to apply sent in mid-May. To be considered, students must first be accepted to Howard University. There are no citizenship requirements for this program.

The enrollment deadline for Howard University is May 1st.
Eligibility
Eligible students must have first been accepted to Howard University and must be Biology & Chemistry majors.
