The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program at Howard University College of Medicine is a comprehensive educational experience designed to train residents in the art and science of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Program Overview
The program is committed to providing a superior learning environment and opportunities for residents to observe or participate in groundbreaking clinical and research work with professionals who are changing the face of healthcare. All graduating residents must complete a research project that will lead to the preparation of a manuscript that is publication-worthy in a peer-reviewed journal.

- 5 months - Anesthesia Service
- 2 months - Medicine Service at Howard University Hospital
- PGY-2:
- 3 months - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Howard University Hospital
- 3 months - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Washington Hospital Center
- 2 months - General Surgery Trauma Service at Howard University Hospital
