Teaching Credential Program
Program Overview
Introduction to Conditional Admission
Conditional admission is a common practice for students enrolled in teaching credential programs. Most students are admitted to these programs on a conditional basis, requiring them to complete specific prerequisites and co-requisites.
Program Requirements
To maintain admission to the program, students must complete the following by the end of the second semester:
- Prerequisite courses
- Co-requisite courses
- An application process for the teaching credential
Admission Criteria
The program will review the progress of each student to determine if the required coursework and credential application process will be met by the end of the second semester. If it is determined that the requirements will not be met, admission to the university will be withdrawn.
Program Progress Review
The review of student progress is a critical component of the conditional admission process. The program will assess whether students are on track to complete all necessary requirements by the end of the second semester. This review will inform decisions regarding the continuation of admission to the program.
