Program Overview
Introduction to the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics
The College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (CNSM) is a vibrant academic community dedicated to the advancement of knowledge in the natural sciences and mathematics. The college offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs, providing students with a comprehensive education in their chosen field.

Science and Math Early Alert Program
The Science and Math Early Alert program is a supportive, voluntary system designed to help students succeed in their academic pursuits. The program allows faculty to refer students who are experiencing academic challenges to their academic advisor, providing an opportunity for students to connect with their instructor, advisor, and campus resources to get back on track and reach their goals.

In Fall 2025, the Science and Math Early Alert program applies to the following courses:

If You Receive an Early Alert
Receiving an Early Alert is an invitation to take action and use the resources available to you. Students who receive an Early Alert should:
- Meet with their instructor to discuss their progress and receive feedback and strategies to improve their performance.
- Connect with their academic advisor to create a personalized success plan.
- Use campus resources, such as math and science tutoring, counseling and psychological services, and the CNSM Resilience Project.
