The Design program is a Bachelor of Arts degree that requires applicants to demonstrate specific admission criteria.

Admission Criteria

To be considered for admission to the major, applicants must demonstrate the following:

• Minimum Cumulative GPA: 2.5
• Minimum lower division preparation (grade of C or better required)
• Major Preparation Courses must be completed with a minimum GPA of 2.5

Major Preparation Courses

The following courses are required for major preparation:

• DESN 120A: Fundamentals of Design
• DESN 120B: Fundamentals of Design

General Education Requirements

In addition to major preparation courses, the following general education courses are required:

• Written Communication
• Oral Communication
• Critical Thinking
• Mathematics
