The Dance program is offered as a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree. It is a highly impacted major, requiring a positive recommendation from the faculty following an audition.

Admission Criteria

To be considered for admission to the major, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum Cumulative GPA: 2.5
• Minimum lower-division preparation (grade of C or better required)

Major Preparation Courses

There are no specific major preparation courses required. However, the following general education courses are necessary:

• Written Communication

Additional Preparation for Transfer Applicants

Transfer applicants are recommended to have the following courses with a grade of C or better:

• DANC 112A: Intermediate Modern Dance
• DANC 114A: Intermediate Ballet
