Program Overview
Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology Computer Technology Option
The primary objective of the Computer Technology Option program is to prepare graduates to pursue careers related to the manufacturing of computers, components, and systems and the application of computers in the manufacturing industry. Emphasis is placed on specific job skills required of entry-level professionals in computer manufacturing, including systems analysis and design, data administration, oral and written communication, and management principles.
Program Description
The Computer Technology Option major is available to students interested in the manufacturing of computers and the applications and operations aspects of computer hardware and software. The major is designed to meet TAC/ABET criteria for accredited programs in engineering technology. Graduates of this program will typically find employment in industry and other organizations where a combination of practical hardware and software background is important.
