Program Overview
Introduction to the 2025 "Han Yu Qiao" Program
The "Han Yu Qiao" program is designed to promote Chinese language and culture among overseas youth, and to enhance international education exchange and cooperation. The program consists of two categories: the "Han Yu Qiao" Educators' Delegation to China and the "Han Yu Qiao" Foreign Students' Group to China.
Program Categories
"Han Yu Qiao" Educators' Delegation to China
- Participants:
- Overseas education officials, school principals, government officials supporting local international Chinese education, leaders of overseas education institutions, and decision-makers for Chinese programs.
- Individuals who are dedicated to establishing or developing new Chinese language and culture programs in their schools or districts.
- Participants must be under 65 years old, in good health, and suitable for international travel.
- A minimum of 5 participants is required to form a group.
- Activity Content:
- Visit education institutions and schools in various Chinese provinces and cities to understand Chinese society and culture, and engage in in-depth exchanges with Chinese educators to expand cooperation opportunities.
- Funding:
- The program will provide funding for participants' food, accommodation, transportation, education visits, cultural experiences, and accidental insurance in China, with a standard support period of 5 days (including arrival and departure days).
"Han Yu Qiao" Foreign Students' Group to China
- Participants:
- Students: Overseas students from regular public or private schools, or students from related education institutions.
- Participants must have learned Chinese and passed the corresponding level of the HSK/YCT exam.
- Non-Chinese nationals whose native language is not Chinese.
- Participants must be in good health and suitable for international travel.
- A minimum of 10 participants is required to form a group.
- Minor students must be accompanied by a leading teacher, with a teacher-student ratio of 1:10 to 1:20.
- Adult students will have one leading teacher per group.
- Leading Teachers:
- Must love education, have affinity, responsibility, strong communication skills, and adaptability.
- Must have rich experience in student management and overseas study tour leadership.
- Must be in good health and suitable for international travel.
- Activity Content:
- Chinese language courses and Chinese national conditions and culture courses, accounting for 60% of the time.
- Rich and colorful exchange activities (such as homestay experiences) and visits to Chinese historical and cultural landscapes, accounting for 40% of the time.
- Project Cycle:
- The program will not exceed 14 days (including arrival and departure days).
- Funding:
- The program will provide funding for participants' food, accommodation, local transportation, course learning, and cultural experiences, as well as accidental insurance (not exceeding 550 yuan per person per day).
- Inter-city transportation fees and tuition fees will be calculated separately.
Application and Approval Process
- The program will have two concentrated application periods:
- March 21 to April 18 for groups to be implemented from June 2025 to March 2026.
- December 1 to 27 for groups to be implemented from April 2026 to September 2026.
