Program Overview
The Chinese Culture Open Class is a series of open classes offered by the College of International Education Exchange at Taiyuan University of Technology. The program aims to promote international communication capacity building, tell the story of China, spread the voice of China, and present a true, three-dimensional, and comprehensive China to the world.
Program Objectives
The program objectives are to:
- Let international students and Chinese teachers and students understand Chinese traditional culture
- Improve the cultural confidence of teachers and students
- Enhance the vitality of national culture
Program Content
The program features topics such as:
- Chinese tea art
- Handmade art
- Traditional costumes
- Sports
- Chinese painting and calligraphy
- Chinese cuisine
Program Schedule
The first "Chinese Culture·Chinese Tea Art" open class is scheduled to be held on October 18, 2019, at 16:00 in the National Education Building G600. Subsequent classes will be held every Friday at the same time and location.
Program Description
The program is designed to complement, expand, and improve the connotation of excellent traditional cultures, with a view to improving edutainability. The program allows teachers and students to understand relevant cultural knowledge as well as basic Chinese skills while listening to lectures.
