Introduction to the 2026 National Publicly-Funded Overseas Study English Spring Training Program

The 2026 National Publicly-Funded Overseas Study English Spring Training Program is a collaborative effort between Beijing Language University's Education Department and our institution. This program aims to enhance the English proficiency of publicly-funded overseas study personnel, thereby improving the overall effectiveness of such programs.

Program Objectives

The primary objectives of this program are to:

• Satisfy the language requirements for the Shanxi Province's " Hundred Billion Project" for higher education
• Improve the English levels of publicly-funded overseas study personnel
• Enhance the effectiveness of publicly-funded overseas study programs

Training Details

Training Targets

The program is designed for:

1. Individuals who have been accepted by the National Scholarship Council or the Provincial Finance Department but have not yet met the required foreign language standards.
2. Those who plan to apply for the National Scholarship Council or the Provincial Finance Department's publicly-funded overseas study programs within the next two years.
3. Other individuals who require such training.

Training Faculty and Methodology

1. The program will be taught by English teachers from Beijing Language University's Education Department and our institution's experienced English teachers.
2. The training content and format will be consistent with the specifications of the National Publicly-Funded Overseas Study English Training Program.
3. The program will adopt a semi-full-time format, requiring participants to complete 350 hours of classroom learning. Participants who are absent for more than 30 hours will not be eligible to take the final exam.

Training Schedule and Location

1. Time: January 2026 to June 2026.
   • Intensive teaching will take place from January 17, 2026, to January 31, 2026 (15 consecutive days), conducted by English teachers from Beijing Language University's Education Department.
   • From March to June, classes will be held every Friday and Saturday, with all courses adopting an offline teaching mode. Specific course arrangements will be announced separately.
2. Location: Taiyuan University of Technology's Yingxi Campus.

Tuition Fees

1. According to the regulations of Beijing Language University's Education Department, participants must pay a training fee of 9,980 yuan per person, which includes training fees, examination fees, and textbook fees.
2. If a participant is unable to complete the training due to valid reasons, the training fee will be deducted at a rate of 50 yuan per hour for the classes already attended. No refund applications will be accepted after the first 10 days of the training.

Enrollment Method and Time

Enrollment will be open from the date of this notice until January 10, 2026.

Entrance Examination

According to the requirements of the National Scholarship Council, participants must take an entrance examination, which will include listening, reading, grammar, and vocabulary. The examination format can be found on Beijing Language University's Education Department's website.

Participants who have already obtained relevant scores within the last two years may be exempt from the entrance examination. The exemption criteria include:

• PETS-5 total score of 40 or above
• IELTS listening and total scores of 5.5 or above

The final enrollment list will be determined by Beijing Language University's Education Department.

Final Examination

After completing the training, participants must take the National Publicly-Funded Overseas Study English Unified Examination held by Beijing Language University's Education Department in June 2026. Upon passing the examination, participants will receive a "Completion Certificate," which is valid for two years.
