The program in question is the Implementation Measures for the Practical Teaching of Ideological and Political Theory Courses at Taiyuan University of Technology. The program aims to implement the spirit of the "Opinions on Strengthening Practical Education" (Teaching [2024] No. 3) and to formulate the implementation measures for the practical teaching of ideological and political theory courses.

Course Organization

The comprehensive practical course is organized under the leadership of the university's practical education work leadership group, with the Teaching Affairs Department responsible for the specific teaching arrangement and the Ideological and Political Theory Teaching Research Department responsible for the specific organization and implementation.

The workload calculation method is based on the planned class hours multiplied by the combined class coefficient.

Course Arrangement

The comprehensive practical course is included in the professional training plan, with a course nature of compulsory and 2.5 credits. The planned class hours are 40 hours, and it is applicable to all undergraduate students in the 4th to 5th semester (including summer vacation). The teaching plan is implemented, and the guidance teacher should design guidance topics closely related to the students' thoughts and current social hotspots and focal points, establish a topic library, and have students determine the practical topic under the guidance of the teacher.

Implementation Steps

The implementation steps include:

1. Preparation stage (every year's spring semester, 6th-9th week): Collect practical topics from teachers and students, design and enrich the topic library for social practice and investigation, compile and print the "Ideological and Political Theory Course Practical Teaching Handbook", and train guidance teachers.
2. Mobilization and training stage (every year's spring semester, 10th-13th week): Carry out comprehensive practical course teaching mobilization through the campus network, issue the "Ideological and Political Theory Course Practical Teaching Handbook" to students, and open the "Ideological and Political Theory Comprehensive Practical Overview" course for all second-year students.
3. Practical planning stage (spring semester, 12th-18th week): Students conduct summer practical planning and submit a practical planning book.
4. Social practice implementation stage (summer vacation): Students complete the social practice according to the approved practical planning book.
5. Summary and exchange stage (autumn semester, 1st-5th week): Students submit the "Ideological and Political Theory Course Practical Teaching Handbook" and investigation reports, and exchange experiences.
6. Score evaluation (autumn semester, 2nd-5th week): Evaluate scores based on the "Ideological and Political Theory Comprehensive Practical Overview" course, practical planning book, practical teaching handbook, and investigation report.

Supplement and Retake

Students who have legitimate reasons and cannot complete the course requirements on time can apply for supplement or retake with the approval of the college. Those who do not participate or complete the comprehensive practical course without legitimate reasons will be considered failing the course.

Other Matters

The university is responsible for the necessary expenses for the practical teaching of ideological and political theory courses.
