Introduction to the 2025 National Public English Training Program for Study Abroad

The 2025 National Public English Training Program for Study Abroad is a collaborative effort between the Beijing Language University's Education Department and our institution. This program aims to enhance the English proficiency of individuals who have been or will be applying for national public funding to study abroad.

Program Objectives

The primary objective of this program is to improve the English language skills of participants, thereby increasing the effectiveness of their study abroad experiences. Upon completing the program and passing the uniform examination, participants will receive a certificate that meets the language requirements for national public funding to study abroad.

Eligibility Criteria

The program is open to the following individuals:

• Those who have been accepted by the National Scholarship Council or provincial funding agencies but have not yet met the required English language proficiency standards.
• Individuals who plan to apply for national public funding to study abroad within the next two years.
• Other individuals who require English language training for study abroad purposes.

Program Structure and Content

The program will be taught by English language experts from the Beijing Language University's training department and our institution's experienced English teachers. The training content will be based on the specified materials for national public funding to study abroad and will be consistent with the Beijing Language University's training department.

Training Schedule and Location

• Time: The program will take place from March 2025 to June 2025.
• Concentrated Teaching Period: March 1-15, 2025 (tentative, 15 consecutive days), taught by English experts from the Beijing Language University's training department.
• Subsequent Classes: From March to June 2025, 20 hours of classes will be scheduled each week (tentative, every Friday and Saturday, full-day classes). All classes will be conducted offline.
• Location: The program will be held at our institution's campus.

Fees and Refund Policy

• Tuition Fee: The standard tuition fee is 9,980 yuan per person, which includes training fees, examination fees, and textbook fees.
• Refund Policy: If a participant is unable to complete the program due to valid reasons, the tuition fee will be deducted at a rate of 50 yuan per hour for the classes already attended. No refund applications will be accepted after the first 10 days of the program.

Admission and Enrollment

• Application Period: Interested individuals should apply by March 1, 2025.
• Entrance Examination: Participants must take an entrance examination administered by the Beijing Language University in our city. The examination will test listening, reading, grammar, and vocabulary skills.
• Admission Requirements: A total score of 45 (including listening) with a minimum listening score of 13 is required for admission.
• Exemption from Entrance Examination: Participants who have achieved a total score of 40 or above in the PETS-5 examination or a listening score of 5.5 or above in the IELTS examination within the past two years may be exempt from the entrance examination.

Certificate and Examination

Upon completing the program, participants must take the national public English uniform examination administered by the Beijing Language University's training department. Those who pass the examination will receive a certificate valid for two years. Participants who fail the examination will have one opportunity to retake it at the end of the year, with a retake fee of 400 yuan for the full exam or 100 yuan for a single subject.
