2022 Spring Information Literacy Training Series Lectures

The library is offering a series of free training lectures to help readers understand the library's resources and services, and to improve their personal information literacy.


Training Schedule

The training sessions will be held every Thursday from 4:30-5:30 pm, starting from March 17th.


  • Course 1: Introduction to Library Resources and Services
    • Time: March 17th, 4:30-5:30 pm
    • Instructor: Ren Teacher
    • Content: Introduction to the library's resources, services, and activities, including space resources, physical resources, electronic resources, and their usage methods.
  • Course 2: Literature Full-Text Retrieval Strategies (Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery)
    • Time: March 24th, 4:30-5:30 pm
    • Instructor: Yang Teacher
    • Content: Introduction to interlibrary loan and document delivery services, and how to retrieve literature from outside the library.
  • Course 3: Patent Basics and Database Usage
    • Time: March 31st, 4:30-5:30 pm
    • Instructor: Han Teacher
    • Content: Introduction to patent basics, patent databases, and their usage.
  • Course 4: Reference Literature Strategies: Noteexpress Literature Management Tool
    • Time: April 7th, 4:30-5:30 pm
    • Instructor: Han Teacher
    • Content: Introduction to the Noteexpress literature management tool, including its functions and usage methods.
  • Course 5: Literature Retrieval Basics
    • Time: April 14th, 4:30-5:30 pm
    • Instructor: Ren Teacher
    • Content: Introduction to literature retrieval basics, including search strategies, keyword selection, and search operator usage.
  • Course 6: Web of Science Database Usage
    • Time: April 21st, 4:30-5:30 pm
    • Instructor: Pang Teacher
    • Content: Introduction to the Web of Science database, including its basic concepts and usage.
  • Course 7: Chinese and Foreign Core Journals and Submission Guidelines
    • Time: April 28th, 4:30-5:30 pm
    • Instructor: Ren Teacher
    • Content: Introduction to core journals, journal evaluation systems, and submission guidelines.
  • Course 8: Pre-Topic Literature Research
    • Time: May 12th, 4:30-5:30 pm
    • Instructor: Ren Teacher
    • Content: Introduction to literature research steps, tools, and techniques, and how to write a review.
  • Course 9: China Knowledge Network Assists in Paper Writing
    • Time: May 19th, 4:30-5:30 pm
    • Instructor: Du Weiwei (China Knowledge Network)
    • Content: Introduction to the China Knowledge Network platform, including its functions and usage methods.
  • Course 10: Literature Visualization Analysis Tools
    • Time: May 26th, 4:30-5:30 pm
    • Instructors: Ren Teacher, Han Teacher
    • Content: Introduction to literature visualization tools, including their basic operations and usage.
