Japanese Studies Program
The Japanese Studies Program is a vibrant entity in the Department of Languages at Chapman University. The program actively pursues the advancement and improvement of the Japanese Studies program benefiting the students tremendously. Each semester at least one upper-division course is offered to facilitate the completion of a Japanese Studies Minor for interested students.
Program Details
The coursework available within the Japanese Studies program has been developed to span a variety of topics including Japanese communication strategies, business Japanese, and Japanese culture and history. Personal attention to quality education is an essential part of the program, and the instructors take pride in the level of achievement of their students.
Minor in Japanese
- A minimum of 15 credits of the degree must be comprised of upper-division courses.
- Students must complete 15 credits from section one and six additional credits from section two (see course catalog) or approved Japanese language/Japan related coursework in a study abroad program in Japan.
